After a couple of months from the leak of the recording, Portishead finally shared the official video of their new song S.O.S, as a dedication to murdered MP Jo Cox.

S.O.S, which is a cover from Swedish band Abba, will be part of the soundtrack of the movie High Rise. Directed by Ben Wheatley and staring Tom Tom Hiddleston, Jeremy Ironsr y Siena Miller.

“We have far more in common than which divides us”

The video is the first material released in six years, after Chase The Tear. The video features singer Beth Gibbons, shot alone in monochrome, motionless, with a couple visual effects. Nevertheless, at the end she moves and handshakes the viewer.

The video closes with this phrase of Jo Cox, activist recently murdered due to her political points of view regarding the migration issues in Europe. On 16 June 2016, Cox was fatally shot and stabbed outside the library in Birstall, West Yorkshire
